2026 sees our most ambitious creative writing project ever designed to share stories, give a glimpse into each other’s lives, and connect us together….

What better way to start a new year than with a fresh, new diary?

But, what about a diary authored by up to 365 different people?

That’s what our A Life in A Day project is all about. Sharing a day of our lives with the world.

And by doing so, we’ll find difference and similarity; recognition and newness, and we’ll come to see the power there is in sharing and getting to know each other. Even if is just for one day.

It’s so easy to get involved….

• You’ll be given a date for you to write your entry
• When it comes round to your day, write your diary entry and email it across to engagingstories@yahoo.com
• Write as much or as little as you feel like
• Email pictures you want to share too
• Your day will then appear in an online blog
• If you enjoy it, you are welcome to contribute again in the year!
• And when we get to 1^st January 2027, that blog will then be ready to be turned into a book to raise money for charity – which all of our diarists can help to choose.

Is this for me?

Yes! It’s for:

• Anyone! Any age! (We’ll even welcome some pet entries if you are able to interpret their thoughts! And of course, under 16s are going to need parental consent.)
• You can live anywhere in the world.
• The only rules are nothing political or offensive or deliberately divisive – that’s just not in the spirit of the project.
• We just want to hear from you so that we can share one day in your life.
